Ollie Kennedy Lechinger

Ollie “Kenny” Lechinger, 60, of Shiro, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home.

Kenny was born on November 22, 1964, in Houston, Texas, to George and Sandra Lechinger. On July 11, 1987, he married his best friend and soulmate, Laura Lechinger. They were happily married for 36 years and lived most of their marriage in Shiro.

Kenny was a true “jack of all trades” there was nothing he couldn’t fix, and if he couldn’t fix it, it simply couldn’t be fixed. He loved working in the yard, tinkering with vehicles, and most of all, spending time with his family. His greatest joy was spoiling his grandchildren, who adored their Haha.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Lechinger; his parents, George and Sandra Lechinger; his brother, Tommy Lechinger; and his faithful dog, Sadie.

Kenny is survived by his children, Michelle Cooper and Austin Lechinger; his grandchildren, Riley, Kaylin, Mallorie, and Carson Cooper; his brothers, Jimmy and Little Jack Lechinger; his brother- and sister-in-law, Larry and Deborah Vardamen; and his Aunt Rose Lechinger.
