Patrick Kevin Cashin

Patrick Kevin Cashin was born August 27, 1961, to Joe and Medie Cashin in Pensacola, Florida.The son of a Naval officer, Pat grew up moving from base to base everywhere from San Diego to Newport, Rhode Island. Along the way Pat grew to love camping and spending time traveling across the country. After his father's retirement, the family settled down in Kaufman, Texas, where Pat graduated from Kaufman High School in 1979. Inspired by his father's love for the sea, he enlisted in the Coast Guard and was stationed in Hawaii and spent time in Alaska before he was mustered out in Galveston. In 1988 he married Janet Cashin, who are parents to Erin Clift and Nathan Cashin. Pat had a passion for woodworking and built several projects that he proudly displayed and gave away as gifts. Pat also enjoyed hanging out with the family at the lake, skiing, and tubing. He passed away at home on September 14, 2025. He is survived by his daughter Erin Clift and her husband Dan Clift, his son Nathan Cashin, his sister Kathy McKinney and her husband Greg McKinney, grandchildren Emily Dennis and her husband Adam Dennis, Kyla Long, Sam Long, Dani Clift, Elijah Clift, Xavier Clift, Asher Clift, Simeon Clift, and great grandchildren Aubrey Dennis and Benjamin Dennis.
