Rita Riene Rodriguez-De La Rosa

It is with great heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), daughter, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and friend, Rita Riene Rodriguez-De La Rosa.

Rita was born on May 4, 1964, in McLennan County (Waco, TX) to Pete Hernandez Rodriguez and Andrea Torres Salinas.

Rita was an incredible wife to Jessie De La Rosa for 36 beautiful years. Though they were unable to have biological children, God blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Corita Garza and Jessie Delarosa, whom Rita promised the Lord she would raise to know Him and walk in His path.

Rita was a God-fearing woman whose faith shined in everything she did. No matter where she went or who she knew, she brought the light of the Lord with her. She praised him wholeheartedly, even in the midst of sickness. She served him faithfully and never lost hope—no matter how challenging life became, she held tightly to her faith, continuing to lead her husband, children, and grandchildren with grace and love.

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 61 years old, Rita left this earthly life to rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Rita was preceded in death by her mother, Andrea T. Salinas, her father, Pete H. Rodriguez, and her grandparents.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jessie De La Rosa; her daughters, Corita Garza and Jessie De La Rosa; her son-in-law, Patrick Garza; and her three grandsons—Eddie, Andrew, and Luke Barrera—whom she loved dearly.

Rita’s legacy of faith, strength, and love will continue to shine brightly through all who knew her.
