Robert "Bobby" Jay Moore Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was born on May 17, 1952, in Bryan, Texas. He peacefully passed away in his hometown on January 11, 2026, at the age of 73. Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will be forever remembered by his family and friends.
Bobby dedicated a significant portion of his life to his craft as an upholsterer, starting his career at Luza Upholstery where he worked from 1971 until 2000. He continued to hone his skills and passion for upholstery at Neutral Poster until his retirement. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family.
He graduated from Bryan High School and was known for his hardworking nature and caring personality. Bobby’s life reflected the values of dedication and love, particularly as he cherished his role as a husband and father. He was married to Tommie Ann Luza Moore for an impressive 54 years, and together they raised their family with love and guidance.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Tommie Ann Luza Moore; his sister Linda Ford; his daughter Mindy Moore Junek and her partner Jeremy Reichel; and his grandchildren, Logan Dean Junek and Lainey Jae Junek that he was lovingly called Gaga by both of them. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Debbie Moore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jay Moore; his mother, Patricia Ann Moore; his brothers, Edward E. Moore, Richard H. Moore, Ralph Neal Moore, and Roy L. Moore; as well as his in-laws Vincent and Jeanetta Luza. These family members, now departed, will be welcomed by Robert in eternal rest.
Beyond his work and family, Bobby had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for collecting Hot Wheels, enjoyed communicating over the CB radio, and had a love for riding motorcycles, all of which gave him countless hours of enjoyment.
A special acknowledgment goes to Concho Hearts hospice for the incredible care provided to Robert during his final days.
Visitation with family will take place on January 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 3001 S College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801.
Robert "Bobby" Jay Moore Jr. will be remembered not only for his dedication to his profession and family but also for his warm spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will endure in the hearts of his loved ones.
