Samuel "Bo" L.
Cooper
Dec 15, 1969 — Sep 12, 2026
Samuel "Bo" Cooper passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, following a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Throughout his life, Bo was known for his humor, his generous spirit, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He was a man who stayed busy, always finding something to work on, fix, or explore.
Bo spent more than 35 years working in the glass business, a career that eventually led him to own and operate his own glass company. His mechanical abilities extended well beyond his profession. He was a master mechanic who could work on vehicles, equipment, and recreational vehicles, and he was rarely one to sit still for long.
Those who knew Bo will remember him as a funny man and a natural joker who could bring laughter to those around him. Among his friends, he was affectionately nicknamed “Bo Swayze,” a name that was especially popular with the girls in the neighborhood.
Bo loved spending time outdoors and making memories with the people he cared about. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, and working on all types of vehicles and equipment. Some of his most treasured moments were spent visiting family, enjoying the outdoors, and simply being there for the people he loved.
Bo is survived by his daughter, Brooke Cooper; son, Cody Cooper; grandchildren, Greyson Coleman, Jadynn Foster, Bryer Cooper, and Harper Cooper; brother, Clint Cooper and girlfriend Jennifer Salinas; sister, Becky Cooper; uncles, Willie Glover, Billy Joe Cooper, and Tony Cooper; aunts, Marilyn Green, Barbara Cooper, Vickie Sykes, and Rachael McIlwain; nephews, Christopher Miskell, Chad Rabalais, and Kadin Jones; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Cooper; his father, Erby Cooper; his mother, Doris Cooper; grandparents, Willie and Dorothy Glover and Erb and Addie Cooper; niece, Tina Miskell; nephew, Coltyn Cooper; uncle, Milburn Green; and aunt Vickie Cooper
Bo will be remembered for his quick wit, mechanical talent, love of the outdoors, and, most importantly, the time he shared with his family and friends. His laughter, helpful nature, and the many memories he created will remain with those who knew and loved him.
