Services for Shirley Ann (Sahr) Lemke, 86, of College Station will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2026 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, Bryan, Texas.
The Rev. Elaine Gomulka of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rest-Ever Memorial Park.
Viewing will be 10:00- 11:00 a.m. at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center.
Mrs. Lemke died Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Five Points Nursing Home.
She was born in Trowbridge, Ohio, to Lawrence and Mildred Sahr. She married Robert Lemke on October 25,1958 and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1996. She lived in Bryan/College Station for 46 years, where she was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. She retired as a GTE Operator Supervisor on November 21, 1993.
Survivors include her five children and spouses, Kenneth and Margaret Lemke of Sanford, FL, Susan and Bennie Pate of College Station, Thomas and Jenifer Lemke of Tyler, Beverly and Douglas Hamaker of Cedar Park, Texas and Gary and Tammy Lemke of College Station. Her sister, Darlene Traver of Genoa, Ohio and her brother-in-law, Jack Lemke of Port Clinton, Ohio. Grandchildren: John (Guedye) Lemke, Nicole Lemke, Robert Lemke, James Pate, Michelle (Anthony) Ramirez, Ashley (Joshua) Adams, Bradley (Katie) Hamaker, Lauren (Jason) Sears, Lindseigh (Stuart) Warnock, Logan (Rachel) Mahan and Gavin Lemke. Great-grandchildren: Austin, Tyler and Carli Ramirez, Casey Hamaker, Sloane and Brigg Sears, Holly, Darcy and Julianne Warnock and Delilah Mahan, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
We appreciate all the care and love received from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Fortress Nursing Home, Five Points Nursing Home and Brazos Valley Hospice staff and care givers.
