Stacy Jane Hollingsworth, 48, of Bryan, Texas, was personally escorted & welcomed home by her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 5, 2025 at 11:30pm. Comforted by Jesus’s promise in John 14:1-3, “In My Father’s house are many rooms... I will come back and take you to be with Me,” Stacy’s faithful journey has now entered the eternal peace of her Savior’s home.
Born in Landstuhl, Germany, on January 4, 1977, while her father, Ed, was stationed at Sembach AFB, Stacy grew up in Riverside, California; Misawa, Japan; & San Angelo, Texas, alongside her older sister, Jennie, while her father, Ed, served in the US Air Force. Her childhood was filled with adventure, travel, and a love of dance–especially ballet. Her favorite childhood memories included learning to hula dance while visiting Honolulu, Hawaii, on the way to Japan.. As a young child, Stacy gave her life to Christ, as she so lovingly called Him, “My Jesus.”
A 1995 graduate of Central High School in San Angelo, Texas, Stacy excelled in the USAF Junior ROTC program, passionately serving as Corps Commander her senior year. She later attended Angelo State University, where she continued in their USAF ROTC college program, majored indance, & performed with the elite ASU Angelettes.
From an early age, she enjoyed organizing her own dance productions with her sister to 1980 hits like, “Time After Time.” From childhood through college, she performed in numerous dance and ballet productions, most notably portraying Clara twice in The Nutcracker. She later shared her gift by helping train young dancers in Bryan, including her niece, Jessie, in the Bryan productionof The Nutcracker. Stacy also had a lifelong love for animals, especially her beloved dogs: Shadow, BJ, Stormy, and Bella.
On January 1, 2001, she married Terry Hollingsworth, and moved to San Antonio, TX and later Hot Springs, AR, following his career in the US Air Force. Through steadfast prayer, her most heartfelt blessing arrived October 21, 2005, with the birth of her treasured son, Sean Austin Hollingsworth. Sean was her deepest joy and proudest accomplishment. She delighted in every milestone of his life and was especially proud of his recent graduation from USAF Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base and his service as an Intelligence Airman at Beale Air Force Base in California.
Stacy’s sudden passing is a loss deeply felt by her family; but they find comfort in knowing that, following years of living with a broken body that failed her, that she now has a glorious new body where she is no longer burdened by earthly limitations.. Having now been reunited with her favorite grandmother, Marjorie Jane, they are certainly dancing together and awaiting the rest of us to arrive.
She is survived by her beloved son, Sean Hollingsworth (Beale AFB, CA); her loving parents, Ed & Dorothy Francis (Bryan, TX), her sister, Jennie Baggs (James)(Bryan, TX), her nephews, Jarrett & Jackson Baggs (Bryan, TX), & her niece, Jessie Baggs (Bryan, TX).
Stacy will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her joyful laugh, her love for Jesus & her family, and her favorite reminder for those she knew belonged to Christ, “He/She was a child of God!”
