Steven Eugene "Fritz" Burns, born on October 25, 1949 in Layfayette, IN, passed away on July 7, 2026, in Caldwell, TX. After graduating from A&M Consolidated High School, he worked as a carpenter for most of his life. In his pastime he was an avid duck hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Martha (Wolff) Burns. He is survived by his brother Scott Burns and wife Lisa; sisters Laura Layman and husband Joe, Michelle Ping and husband Joe; daughter Teresa Burns; grandchildren Heather, Jude, and Layla; twin great-grandchildren Bryer and Blaire; and many nieces and nephews.

A family memorial will be held on Thursday, August 6th, from 4pm-6pm at Wings ‘N More Party Room (1803 Deacon Dr, College Station, TX 77845).
