Terry Oliver Norrell, age 65, of College Station, Texas, passed away on April 21, 2025, following a sudden heart attack.
Terry was born on February 23, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Reba Jean Wright and the late Oliver Norrell. He grew up in Tyler, Texas, with his sister Geana, where his adventurous spirit first took root—whether climbing trees, exploring creeks, or dreaming up his next great escapade.
In 1984, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Polk, and together they spent 40 wonderful years building a life filled with love, faith, and cherished family traditions.
In 1989, Terry proudly graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a milestone that marked the beginning of a successful and impactful career. He founded ARQ Electronics Manufacturing Services, Inc. in July 1999, turning his vision into reality by building a company known for its innovation, integrity, and commitment to excellence in the electronics industry. Through his unwavering drive, sharp mind, and tireless work ethic, Terry not only grew a thriving business but also became a mentor and source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Terry was a faithful member of the College Station Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 30 years, serving during that time as a deacon, elder, board member, and assistant treasurer. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, trying new foods, cheering on the Aggies, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his mother, Reba Jean; two daughters, Sherilyn Taylor (John) and Betty Rogers (Jess); and six beloved grandchildren, J.J., Taylor, Cody, Angiel, Logan, and Lillie. He is also survived by his sister, Geana Lyons; niece, Lacretia; nephew, Jared; and numerous dear friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Oliver.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the College Station Seventh-day Adventist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Terry’s memory to Forever Free Ministries.
