Victor Frank Rice

Victor Frank Rice, 85, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Iola, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 18, 1940, Victor lived a life of deep devotion to those he cared about. A proud Navy veteran, he served his country with honor. He was also a Master Mason, committed to the principles of brotherhood and service that guided his life. He was active in the Lakeside Methodist Church, where he cherished his faith and community.

Victor is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Sue Rice of McAlester, Oklahoma; his children: Vicky Miller (Greg), Jo Baird (Mike), Vic Rice Jr. (Tracy), and Mike Rice (Deborah); step children: Janet Hayes, Pam Hackler, and Jeff Simpson; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He found joy in simple pleasures—fishing, spending time with friends, and being surrounded by the family that meant everything to him.

A graveside service will be held on November 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Birdston Cemetery in Streetman, Texas, under the direction of Callaway-Jones of Bryan, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fisher House Foundation, supporting veterans and their families.
