于书文先生，在美国中部时间2022年9月12日下午18点在美国德克萨斯州去世，享年59岁。遗体告别仪式于2022年9月15日上午9点在Callaway-Jones殡仪馆举行。于书文，1963年7月7日出生于中国河北省张家口市。学生时期始终保持着优异学习成绩，于1982年考入合肥工业大学机械系，在校期间曾担任学生会主席一职.
于书文和爱人侯淑萍于高中时期（1979.9）相识相知， 1987年10月10日在北京完婚。1989年6月27日他们拥有了自己的孩子，于喆。
自1986年大学毕业后，于书文被分配到中国重型机械总公司（CHMC）。因对工作任劳任怨，兢兢业业，求实创新，在岗期间连连升职，于1998年任部门处长职务，当时年仅35岁。但是思维活跃，力求突破的他，凭借自己学校期间优异的专业能力，和工作期间对英语的不懈学习，于2004年5月加入SMS 公司。
在职期间他曾因出差去过许多国家，包括美国，加拿大，德国，意大利，土耳其，伊拉克，阿尔巴尼亚等。这种经历也使他比同龄人拥有更加开阔的视野和心胸。同时，他在业余时间也热爱和同事打羽毛球，给家人朋友下厨做饭，做手工等。
在他父亲患病半身不遂20多年里，面对工作的忙碌，于书文依旧不辞辛苦地奔波于北京和张家口两地，照顾重病的父亲，尽心尽力，从不喊累。在父亲因病离世后，他又每月定期回老家探望年迈的母亲，为母亲洗澡、理发、修脚、剪指甲、做饭等，并经常把母亲接到北京的家中一起生活，共享天伦之乐。
2021年对于书文和他的家人来说是最不寻常的一年。2月3日他被确诊了胆管癌——一种世界上每十万人只有1-2个患病概率的绝症。当中国最顶尖医院的医生告诉他只有6个月左右的生命时，他在爱人的陪同下离开自己熟悉的故土，毅然决然地踏上了赴美国和他唯一的儿子团聚的征程。即便如此，在面临儿子博士生二年级论文答辩的重要时刻，他仍选择了隐瞒自己的病情，直至6月中旬才据实相告。此时，他已在美国纽约斯隆医院就诊了1个多月。
2021年9月，在儿子和儿媳妇的不懈努力下，于书文转院至MD Anderson就诊，以便彼此间的照顾和陪伴。他来到德州儿子家里的那一天，正是国内医生宣告他生命可能结束的一天。然而在此后的1年时间里，于书文不仅培养了新的兴趣爱好：钓鱼，下棋，还在不用去医院检查、化疗、放疗的日子里，坚持每天去学校体育馆游泳1000米或在小区里徒步2公里，以备有更好的精神状态去对抗病魔。
他的这份乐观与坚强，让他在生命最后的几个月里，在体重每日下降几乎1斤的身体条件下，在他的主治医生遗憾地宣告他已无能为力，给予放弃医院治疗而在家临终关怀的建议下，也不愿当着家人的面哭泣，更没有喊过一次疼。
他的这份乐观与坚强，让他在医院急诊室住院的两周里，即便要靠止痛药才能入睡，也会在清醒的时候和家人开开玩笑；在自己已经食不下咽的情况下，他依然劝家人替他多吃点。
他的这份乐观与坚强，让他在家接收临终关怀的最后两周里，即便止痛药物已经不再见效，他也会坚持自己去卫生间洗漱，保持身体和室内的干净整洁，不给家人添麻烦。临终前的三天，2022年9月10日，是中国的传统节日——中秋节——一个阖家欢乐，一起吃月饼、赏月的节日，也是他卧床不起的第10天。为了和家人度过一个完整的中秋节，不留任何遗憾，他依旧穿戴整洁，忍着巨痛，坐到饭桌前，看着每一个人有说有笑，并和家人朋友拍下了最后一张全家福的照片。
2022年9月12日下午6点左右，在确认癌症后始终积极面对的这第587天，在家人的陪伴下，带着亲人们的爱，平静地离开了人世。
在家里，他是孝顺的儿子，是懂事的弟弟，是体贴的哥哥，是对爱情始终如一的丈夫，是严肃而又慈爱的父亲。在单位，他是真诚以待的同事，是值得尊敬领导，更是所有人愿意信任与倾诉的朋友。在他短暂而意义非凡的一生中，他已付出了太多太多。现在他虽然离开了我们，但他那热情与善良的性格，豁达与洒脱的心境，顽强与拼搏的精神，会永远留在爱你的每一个人心中。
