Patricia Ann Hennessey
July 30, 1948 – March 17, 2015

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; Prayer partner to many and to strangers, a servant in the vineyard has been called from this life to the next, Patricia Ann Hennessey, 66, of College Station, was called home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. A graveside inurnment service will held at 1:30pm, Sunday, March 29, in Rest Ever Memorial Park, 5103 Texas Ave North, Bryan. Reverend Monsignor John A. McCaffrey will officiate the committal service. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Patricia was born to Gilbert and Margaret (Forte) Jonas in New Brunswick, NJ. Patricia was a faith filled soul who shared so much of her musical talent with others as she invited many to worship the Lord in prayer and song. She was very involved with her Charismatic Prayer Group, mentor to members of St. Joseph and abroad in prayer, active member of the Awakening Movement with St. Mary’s Church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member.

“My precious sister, Patricia Hennessey, age 66, has gone to Heaven. She was the kindest, most loving sister I could ever have. Pat’s degenerative neurological journey began around 10 years ago. Her neurologist said he had never seen another patient matching her symptoms, and diagnosed “nervous breakdown”. My computer searches came up with “Multiple System Atrophy”. I feel joy knowing that Patty is having fun with God and all of her loved ones who have gone before her.” Peggy Cothrum.

She now joins her parents who precede her in death.

She leaves to carry on her legacy of faith her son Jeffrey and his wife Martha; her grandchildren Matthew and Thaddaios; her beloved sister Peggy and husband Jack Cothrum; a host of Charismatic Prayer Family, close friends and other relatives.

Condolence from Nancy Coppola on March 25th, 2015 5:10 pm

Peggy,
I am so very sorry to hear about Patty Ann. It seems like yesterday that we were listening to her play the accordion.. My Uncle Tony loved to hear her play. She is now in Heaven with her godparents and I know that they have welcomed her with open arms. They loved her so much. She was very special. Very kind and thoughtful to all. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that right now it is very hard you and your heart is aching because the two of you were very close, but know that she is in a better place and I am sure she is happy. My grandmother always said don’t be sad for those that pass because they are in a better place.
Hugs and my heartfelt sympathy,
Nancy

Nancy:

Thank you for mentioning the wonderful memories our families shared. I remember Patty playing her accordion for Uncle Tony. And your parents were the absolute best godparents to Patty. Uncle Tony and your parents treated me like they really were my aunt and uncles. I have the happiest thoughts picturing them all together again!

Love, Peggy

Condolence from Tara Sopasakis on March 27th, 2015 6:39 am

My condolences to Pats Only Son Jeff and his Wife, Martha and her only Grandchildren, Matthew-and Thadd all of whom she lived her life for. She was very devoted to her spiritual life, but first and foremost Pat was always proud of her chosen life as a Mother and Grandmother. She has left a very big void in the lives of her love ones. May she rest in peace knowing she fulfilled her life here on this earth always living in Gods will. Pat will forever be missed. And forever loved.
