Patricia Voneiff

Patricia Voneiff, 90, of College Station and Dallas, passed away April 16, 2017, at the Waterford in College Station. Her life will be honored with a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Monday April 24, 2017, at St. Francis Episcopal Church in College Station, Texas. Cremation and services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

Patricia was born December 30, 1926, in Rifle, Colorado, to Fred and Florence Dunham.  She briefly lived in Italy at the close of World War II, where her father served as a Colonel in the US Army.  In 1950, after graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in business, she married Edgar Louis Voneiff in New York. She spent many years in Dallas, Texas, raising her family, working as a journalist and later a real estate agent.  Throughout her life she was very involved in her church, most recently as a member of St. Francis Church in College Station. She was a concert pianist and flautist and played flute for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra occasionally in the early 1950s.  She was also an excellent figure skater and tried out for the US Olympic team in her youth.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and her brother, Gene Dunham.

Survivors include her son, George Voneiff and wife Joan, of Bryan; daughter, Elizabeth Marx, of Brisbane, Australia; brother, George Dunham and wife Lynn, of Grand Junction, Colorado; and five grandchildren.
