The itemized price list below is a requirement of all funeral homes nationwide. Upon request, a funeral home is required to give the consumer this itemized general price list.
Services, Facilities and Equipment
BASIC SERVICE FEE OF THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR, STAFF, & OVERHEAD (Non-Declinable) $2,445
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding/receiving remains)
- Attendants on-duty 24 hours a day to respond to the initial request for service

- Coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, churches, florists, newspapers, etc.
- Clerical assistance in the completion of various forms and permits associated with a funeral
- This fee also includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs such as facility maintenance, administrative and secretarial costs, insurance, utility expenses, equipment, inventory, and governmental compliance costs, etc.

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

NEWSPAPER OBITUARIES Varies by newspaper
The local daily paper (The Eagle) has two types of obituaries: a paid obituary which may include a picture, biographical information, survivors, etc., charged by the column inch, and a brief obituary (Death Notice) which is published at no charge, one-time only, and may include the name, age, city of residence, and date of death only. We will also place obituaries in out-of-town papers at your request, and their charge will be billed to the family.
Clergy, Soloists, Organist/Pianist, etc. You may choose any amounts you can afford to offer, but this is a suggested base cost that is the average minimum expected for providing this service for your loved one.
POLICE ESCORTS $420+
The Cities of Bryan and College Station both charge the family for a police-escorted funeral procession.
Prearrangement & Pre-Paid Funeral/Cremation Plans
Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers offers two types of prearrangement plans. You may prepay for the services in advance, which freezes the cost on the items you selected. The cost will never change. We offer monthly payment plans for these pre-paid plans. You may also prearrange the services you desire before the death takes place and not pay anything in advance. In this case the cost may change in the future and your final wishes will be kept on file at our facility.
WE WILL HONOR OTHER LOCAL & NON-LOCAL FUNERAL HOMES PREPAID FUNERAL PLANS WHICH ARE VALID AND ARE CURRENTLY IN FORCE.
