Rebecca “Becky” Elizabeth Lewis

Rebecca “Becky” Elizabeth Lewis, 64, of Anderson, TX passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019. She was born on September 26, 1955 in Fort Worth, TX. Becky was an Administrative Assistant at Texas A&M in the Animal Science Department until her retirement. She influenced many students with her motherly care throughout her tenure and had a great working rapport with all the faculty and staff. Becky was affectionately called Mrs. Becky by many at A&M. Becky and her husband, David, were avid motorcycle enthusiasts that cultivated many friendships and shared memorable experiences together with their knees in the wind. She was very passionate about helping families and children through Make a Christmas Happen (MACH), a program that was very near and dear to both her and her husband, David. Becky had a generous heart and would do anything to help others in need.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nelda Faye Dollarhide; sister-in-law, Sandra Little; brother-in-law, Richard Green; infant brother-in-law, Steven Lewis.

Becky is survived by her husband of 41 years, David H. Lewis; son, Ryan Lewis; daughter, Deidre Brown and her husband, David; grandchildren, Coultane, Kezia, Cordell, Sean, Alyssa, and Cannon; great-grandchildren, Hayzlee and Hayden; father, Wade Preston Dollarhide; sisters, Beverly Harwell (Bill), Kathy Ives (Paul), Karla Tramel (Paul), and Carol Rasberry (Jeff Bennett); sister-in-law, Jeanetta Green; brothers-in-law, Clyde Little, Bill Lewis and his wife, Dorothy; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make a Christmas Happen (MACH), 15036 FM 244, Iola, TX 77861.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM Friday, December 13th, at Harvest Field Church at Yankee’s Pavilion, 10328 FM 244, Anderson, TX 77830 with Pastor John Hall officiating.   1. My heart is sad but I know Becky will be remembered for who she was. She was my friend for over 30 years at TAMU. Her generosity outweighed her by all she has done in her life and she enjoyed every minute of it. Her love for her family will always be there and I shall remember her smile. Ride in the wind until we meet each other again.
