Robert Dail

Robert Alonzo Dail, 64, of Bryan, passed away Saturday March 8, 2014. A memorial service celebrating his life is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bryan. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Robert was born September 29, 1949 in Washington, D.C., to Donnie Roy Dail and Ida Bell (Slay) Dail Motley. He served honorably as a medic Specialist 5 in the United States Army in Vietnam and then graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a degree in Education and History. Mr Dail successfully completed a 30 year career with the United States Post Office where he started out as a temporary maintenance worker and reached the Office of Postmaster, serving with distinction in Alpine, Texas.

He had a lifetime love of the Holy Scriptures, reading, history and sports (particularly football). He was very compassionate and well-known for his generosity, especially to family, friends, co-workers and various Christian ministries. He was equally well- known for his humility and ability to befriend just about any one. Mr Dail loved to attend services at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bryan, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Megan Dail; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Jeff Carrillo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie Roy and Donna Dail, Rick Dail, Jimmie Roger and Julie Dail; and grandchildren, Kennedy Carrillo, Kyra Carrillo, and Kellan Dail.
