Robert “Bob” Francis Hyder

Robert Francis Hyder, known by most as “Bob”, passed away at the age of 73, on June 18, 2017 in College Station, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Bob was a very hard working man who spent his entire working career as a salesman. He was an honest, loyal and fun loving man who treasured spending time with his family. He had a passion for gardening, fishing and camping. He loved to tinker on projects and keep busy. Bob enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music and most recently spent his days with the radio playing in the background so that he could keep up with current events.

After growing up in Audubon, New Jersey, he graduated from Audubon High School in 1962 and was soon married to Joyce McMillan with whom he started a family. His career took the family to Texas where he continued to work in sales.

He is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Frances and his son Daniel. He is survived by four sons, Robert (Bob) and wife Lee, William (Bill) and wife Janet, James and wife Shauna, David and wife Valena all of whom reside in Texas. He is also survived by his three brothers, Charles Hyder and wife Carol of New Jersey, Harold Hyder and wife Donna of New Jersey, and Francis Hyder and wife Helen of Florida. Bob was grandfather to Austin, Jordan, Daniel, Nicole, Emma, Matthew, Zachary, and Benjamin. Plus a host of nieces and nephews. He also had a countless number of friends that will all truly miss him.
