Robert L. Hudson, 86, of Bryan passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. The graveside service will be held 10 AM Saturday, August 31st at College Station City Cemetery with the Certified Celebrant Dawn Lee Wakefield officiating. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #159.
Robert was born on July 1, 1933 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He honorably served in the United States Air Force for 6.5 years, where he met and married the love of his life, Margaret Todd Hudson, while stationed at the Bryan Air Force Base. Robert owned and operated his own A.C. repair until his retirement. He was a resident of the community for over 60 years and raised his family here.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Hudson; his parents, Henry “Pop” Hudson and Myrtle Ward Hudson; and his daughter, Caron Ann Tippitt; sisters, Jackie Winters and Doris Stoner; and brother, Wayne Hudson.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Debbie Hudson; grandsons, Chris Tippitt and his wife, Kellye Tippitt, Matthew Tippitt and his wife, Jin Tippitt; great-grandchildren, Conner, Kennedy, Lilyanne, and Wyatt; sister-in-law, Dianne Hudson; brothers-in-law, J.W. Todd and Irvin Todd; nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
