Ryan Griffin

Ryan Edward Griffin, 23, of Bryan passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5 to 8pm Thursday February 28, 2019 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 S College Ave in Bryan.  His life will be celebrated at 10am Friday, March 1, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center with interment to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in Frenstadt.

He was born September 29, 1995, in Bryan, Texas, the son of Tanya Revell and Marty Griffin.

Ryan had a love for guns and knives, and he was a “jack of all trades,” including mechanic, roofer, concrete finisher, oil field torque and test technician.   He was also a partner in YCT Entertainment, a promoting company for new rap artists.  Ryan attended Bryan High School.

Ryan was a kind-hearted man. Many times, he would give someone his last dollar and he would go without. If you were lucky enough to get to know Ryan, he was your friend for life. His friends and “fam” as he called Ector would come before his mother, often making her very jealous.

Ryan was a free spirit trying to find his way in life. This last year was the happiest we’ve seen Ryan because of Jessica, whom he met in the fifth grade at Mumford Elementary. November 11, 2018, Ryan and Jessica were both baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Ryan had plans on marrying Jessica and was excited about the future they would build together.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Pam Pivonka; Arthur and Lillian Griffin; and his best friend, Nathan Kline.

Ryan is survived by his mother and step-father, Tanya and James Revell of Bryan, TX; his father, Marty Griffin; the love of his life, Jessica Ehlers of Hearne, TX; his sister and husband, Brittany and Jeremy Walker and niece, MacKenzi Peterson, of Bryan, TX; sister, Kaylee Revell; brother, James Revell, Jr.; step-sister, Kaylee E. Revell; sister, Amber Cook and brother, Josh Griffin; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
