Sam Hammontree

Sam Hammontree, 53, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home. Visitation for friends and family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 6:30, Friday, July 1, 2016, at St. Michael’s Chapel at 2402 S College Ave. in Bryan. Interment will be at Bryan City Cemetery at a later date.

Sam was born February 11, 1963 in Millington, Tennessee, to Marion and Lola Hammontree. He will be remembered as a talented handyman. Those that knew him best know how much he loved fishing, being outdoors, and his pets which were like family.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife Cheryl Hammontree of Bryan; brother, Jeffrey Hammontree; sister, Kathy Shirley; and his pack, Fireball, Peanut, Triton, and Cookie.

  1. I would like to send my condolence to Sam’s brother and sister Jeff Hammontree and Kathy Shirley. I am so sorry for yalls lose. Sam was a fun, loving, and caring person and he will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with y’all.
