Sam Ryan Baron

Sam Ryan Baron
May 12, 1995 – May 20, 2016

Sam Ryan Baron, born May 12, 1995, left us all to be with our Lord on May 20, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2201 Earl Rudder Freeway, College Station. Funeral Service will be at 2pm, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the church. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Oh my! What a joy he was to his parents, Carl (Sam) and Suzanne Baron (College Station, TX), sister Lindsey Baron (Austin, TX) and brother Riley Baron (Los Angeles, CA).

This young man loved life and lived it to the fullest. He found great joy spending time with his friends and family. His wonderful sense of humor and his creative ability to make others laugh was infectious. His love for the Lord was mirrored by how he loved others before himself, having a servant’s heart.

Ryan had big dreams and goals ahead of him, working diligently to arrive at one day owning his own business. He touched many lives while working in the oil and gas industry, and most recently with the fiber optic installation industry.

He will be greatly missed by his parents and siblings, as well as his grandparents, Jane Ann and Jr. Baron (Caldwell, TX), Norma Gipson (Bryan, TX) and Jerry and Dorothy Butler (Modesto, CA), countless aunts, uncles, cousins and many amazing friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to Brazos Christian School football program or to Aldersgate United Methodist Church Youth Program, in memory of Ryan Baron.

  30. Dear Baron Family,

I want you to know that I am so, so grateful to have gone to high school with Ryan. He was one of the first people to make me feel welcome at Brazos Christian School. Whether he was coming down the hallway saying, “Hey Gingersnap,” or laughing about how we both had “chip bowls” in our face (dimples), Ryan always made a point to make the people around him feel known, loved, and so special. I remember staying close to Ryan on any school outing or class trip. It was just second nature because we all knew if we were with Ryan, we were safe. One of the last memories I have of Ryan was on the way back from our class trip to Europe. For some reason, it took me way longer than everyone else to get through security. I had no idea at the time, but I was about to miss my flight home with the rest of our class to the U.S. As I was wandering through the airport trying to find the terminal, completely lost and unaware that I was about to miss the flight, Ryan was the only person who came back to find me. I’m not even sure that anyone else would have noticed I wasn’t on that flight. But there was Ryan, standing there in the terminal waiting for me and telling me to hurry up. 🙂 He waited to get on that plane until he had found me. I’ll never forget that. Ryan has left such an incredible legacy to us all. Many of us are fervently praying that many would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior because of Ryan’s consistent and faithful witness. Your family has already been such an incredible testament to the hope we have in Christ Jesus. Ryan will never be forgotten, and I cannot wait until that wonderful day when we’re all going to get the biggest bear hug of our life.

    Much love,
    Hannah

  31. JoAnn and Jr,
I can’t imagine what your feeling losing a grandchild. My heart breaks for you and of course, for Sam and Suzanne and the rest of the family. JoAnn and Jr, I have not seen you for many years, but I haven’t forgotten. My prayers are with you. May God comfort you in this time of loss.
    Gloria (Mayes) White

  32. Dear Sam, Suzanne, Riley and Lindsey,

I don’t have words to express how sorry I am that your family is going through the loss of a very fine son and brother. Although our paths didn’t cross often anymore, when they did, Ryan ALWAYS had a smile. He was one of the most polite, friendly engaging young people I have ever met. At least we don’t grieve as those without hope, and I look forward to seeing his beautiful smile again someday.

  33. I only had the honor of meeting Ryan one time, and in that brief visit he made a lasting impression on me as a young man of integrity and honor. He was considerate, respectful, smart and had a smile that would win over anyone instantly. We kept in touch and I looked forward to our next visit. Mr & Mrs Baron please know that your son was one of the rare ones, one of those young men that truly made a difference by just being himself and I will never forget him. He is home now with The Father and what a blessing that we will be able to see him again one day.
