Shane Anthony Walker


Shane Anthony Walker, 40, of  Bryan, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2018. His family will receive friends during a visitation from 10 am until the time of service at 11:30 am, Saturday January 20, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 3001 S College Ave. in Bryan.

Shane was born in Jewett, TX to James and Janet Walker on February 2, 1977.  He went to school at Leon County High School.   He married Rosie Walker on December 13, 2014 in Bryan.  Shane graduated from University of Phoenix then worked as a truck driver for various companies for many years.  He proudly served in the Air Force and was awarded various awards during his tenure.

During his time with us, he was involved in various organizations. His passion was firefighting. He volunteered with the Jewett Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was always quick to tell you a good fire story. Shane was in the process of becoming a local Pastor through the United Methodist Church and was happy to serve the Lord in this capacity. While at Templo, he was the Youth Director at Templo Del Espiritu Santo United Methodist Church. Anyone who knew Shane, knew he was a kid at heart.

He is preceded in death by father, James Walker, and mother, Janet Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Walker; their children Ellianna, Maria, and Grace; his children Bryan, Sarah, Brianna, Bryce, and Steven; sister Tammy Walker-Wolfe and her husband Matt Wolfe, and their children Jacob and Renae.

  5. I’m so sad to hear of Shane passing. I met Shane when he worked at the hospital. What a sweet and giving person Shane was. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
