Sue Batson Hogan


Sue Batson Hogan, loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away Sunday April 9, 2017 with family by her side. Her family will receive guests during visitation from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. Her life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan.

Sue was born December 11, 1955 in Bryan, Texas, to Joe “Sparky” and Linnie Batson. She is a lifetime resident of Bryan, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Sue worked for Central Texas Sports Medicine for over 24 years. She married the love of her life, David Hogan, September 26, 1987.

Her mother Linnie Margie Batson preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving husband, David Hogan of Bryan; daughter, Emily Hogan of Bryan; father, Sparky Batson, of Bryan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Billie Batson, of Houston, Coy and Robin Batson, of Bryan; nephews Travis Martin, Corey Batson, and Keith Batson; niece Stacey Ksionda, and 3 great nieces.

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Central Baptist Church at 1991 FM 158 College Station, TX 77845, Attn: Children’s Ministries.

    So very sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers for you all. Loved Sue so very much always keeping me going laughing, such an amazing cousin and we had some wonderful times for sure, I think that the best times where when we traveled to Colorado with our families never knew what we would be getting into.

  18. I am so sorry to hear about Sue. I worked with her in the past. She was such a sweet and Joyful person. I still have her chicken spaghetti recipe she wrote down for me back in 2002. May God Bless the family with strength during this difficult time.
