Rick and Terry,
You know how much my family loved Bud. He was so close to all of us kids growing up and one of dad’s closest buddies. I know that Bud and Fletcher are playing dominoes and telling jokes and stories in heaven right now. Rick, I sure am glad I got to see Bud and you last week. He was in good spirits on that day. God bless to you and your families during this difficult time.
Love you all, Dan and LaNell

To the entire Dowling family: I send my condolences and my prayers. I never met PaPa but I enjoyed hearing the stories of his character and his zest for life and his indomitable spirit from Mary Frances and Mary. It was apparent how much love there was for this man and from him to his family. Cherish the memories.

I did’t get to see Uncle Bud often, mostly at Christmas, but he was always friendly and smiling. I know Pop (my father-in-law J.C.) thought a lot of him – and that was high praise. May all the good times with him come to your remembrance as you honor his passing. i pray God will comfort you.
