William “Bill” Howard Smith
September 26, 1937 – November 10, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of William H. Smith (Bill), 81, of Bryan, announces his passing on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Bill’s family will receive guests during visitation at 1pm, until the time of service at 2pm, Friday, November 16, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Centers, 3001 South College Ave, Bryan. Officiating the memorial is Dawn Lee Wakefield, Certified Life Celebrant and Tribute Professional. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Bill was born on September 26, 1937, in Temple, to Howard and Ruby Faye Nix Smith. He graduated from Caldwell High School. Bill was retired and enjoyed gardening and tending to his flower beds, bicycling, and spending time with his many friends and family.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Howard Smith and Ruby Faye Smith as well as his twin brother, Robert Curtis “Bobby” Smith, and great-granddaughter Aubrey Kyle Koudelka.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fatty Smith, his three children; Kathy Smith, Doug Smith, and Kelly Nix and husband David Nix, and 8 grandchildren; Heath Koudelka, Adam Netka, Cullen Mancuso, Cory Mancuso, Jake Netka, Leighann Netka, Taylor Smith, and William Smith as well as 3 great-grandchildren; Brayden Koudelka, Claire Mancuso, and Blake Mancuso.
Memorial donations may be given to Providence Baptist Church, P.O. Box 625, Caldwell, Texas 77836, in Memory of Bill Smith.
