Willie Mae Hejl, 80, of Bryan, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, in College Station. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan – College Station.

Willie Mae was born in Burleson County to Henry and Mollie Matus Charanza. She was a hard working lady who gave from her heart to help and make life better for all. Mrs. Hejl was employed with Bryan Independent School District until she retired in food services. She served as Cafeteria Manager for Bryan High School a number of years. She was member of the local chapter of the African Violet Club; she was a former parent volunteer for Girls Scout. She was Catholic in faith and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Hejl; her parents Henry and Mollie Charanza; and her brother David Charanza.

She is survived by her son Larry and wife Amy Hejl; her daughter Kim Hejl; her grand children Hannah, Grace, and Trenton; her brothers Billy Charanza, Lee Charanza, Henry Joe Charanza, and Donnie and his wife Debbie Charanza; her sisters Aline and husband Ed Reynolds, Mollie Wilson, and Betty Maddox; numerous nieces and nephews, other close relatives and friends.
